How do I love myself?
Self-love is important
to a happy life, the way to love myself or to take care of myself is by loving
my body, soul, and my mind. Self-love is realizing that it is okay to make
mistakes. We have to be brave enough to forgive ourselves for all the mistakes
we have made. Self-love can give us a positive attitude about life. Be
vulnerable enough to accept our flaws, also. Some people have different ways of
loving themselves. Otherwise, I also have different ways of loving myself.
First, the way to take
care of my body is by eating healthy food because I am what I eat. Keep my body
hydrated by drinking eight glasses or more of water each day. Doing exercises twice
a week by running, push up, sit up, skipping, and many more. Take care of my
skin by doing a skincare routine. Also get enough sleep by trying to sleep
under 11 at night. Taking care of my body well can make me happy because when
my body is healthy it can affect my happy life.
Taking care of my soul
is also necessary. I always treat myself like I treat the people I love. Treat
myself with kindness and respect by making myself a priority. Focus on what
makes me happy by doing a lot of positive things or doing my hobbies. Always be
kind to others by helping others and absolutely be kind to myself. Surround
myself with people who are good for my mental health. In addition, I always
appreciate my energy by giving myself a self-reward. For instance, I always buy
my favorite foods or buy skincare and body care products for my self-reward
every month. I give myself a self-reward because that is the reward of how far
I have survived a lot of difficult things. Those simple things can bring
happiness to my life.
Last but not least is
taking care of my mind. I say good things to myself every day. Sometimes I look
at myself in front of the mirror and say “I am doing great today, I am doing
the best I can, I am proud of who I am, and I deserve to be happy, no one can
make me feel like I don’t”. That thing really gives me positive thoughts that
can change my whole day.
In brief, self-love is really necessary for a happy
life because when I am happy with myself and can take care of myself well by
loving my body, soul, and mind, so that I can find the true happiness that
comes from within. When I am happy with myself, I can do things better and can
love others better.
